The M&T Resources team has a genuine commitment to ‘giving something back’ to the community, which is supported by the greater SMS population and business. Rather than supporting a single cause, we prefer to support a number of causes which are close to the hearts of our individual staff members.

Some examples of how we contribute include:

Long-standing supporter of the Oxfam Trailwalker, which requires individuals to walk 100km in 48 hours. In the recently completed event SMS had 12 teams participate in total, who together raised over $30,000.

Fitted for Work. Twice a year the females in the company collect our business wear, including suits, shoes, and handbags and donate them to less privileged women seeking to re-enter the workforce.

Long-standing supporter of Around the Bay in a Day. Last year M&T Resources/SMS had almost 70 entrants and raised $20,000

After the 2009 Victorian bushfires, all SMS staff were able to salary sacrifice a sum of their choice, which would be matched by SMS. We donated over $60,000 in total.

One of M&T Resources’ Account Directors is on the Board of the breast cancer charity the Think Pink Foundation.

M&T Resources provides recruitment services to all not-for-profit organisations at a significantly reduced rate.

“Gold Coin” Monthly morning teas, the proceeds of which are donated to a rotating charity.

At Christmas, our staff have the option of donating their Kris Kringle amounts to a rotating charity instead of buying one another gifts. Since 2007 we have also opted for electronic cards, and donate the saved expense of printing cards to charity.

Additionally, our individual branches donate to the Oxfam Unwrapped appeal.
