INNOVATIVE SOURCING FOR HARD-TO-FIND SKILL SETS

We were approached by an internationally recognised IT professional services firm to assist them in sourcing a Technical Project Manager. At that stage both their internal recruitment team and PSA suppliers had unsuccessfully attempted to source an appropriate person.

As the market had already been exhausted, we felt our client required the representation of a passive candidate. As a team we collated a list of those with the specialist skillset whom we had interviewed for other roles in the past, but who weren’t actively pursuing a new position at that time.

We contacted a select few based on our client’s requirements. We met them again to discuss the opportunity, and why we felt it was the right time for them to consider a new position, and the benefits of pursuing this position. We presented a shortlist of two candidates who were both interviewed by our client.

The candidate whom we placed into the position praised our lateral approach to sourcing the role, as the career move we introduced him to was not something he would have originally considered as he was not actively seeking a change.

Via our post-placement contact program and our Client Satisfaction Surveys, we are proud of the continued success of the placement and the client’s continued benefit from the placement, which is also underpinned by the subsequent roles we have been asked to fill.
