There are certain requirements you must fulfil in order to gain legal employment in Australia. You must either:

• be an Australian citizen
• be an Australian Permanent Resident
• be a NZ Citizen (note: NZ Permanent Residents will need a visa to work in Australia), or
• have a valid working visa.

If you meet requirements 1-3 above, you are able to apply for any advertised position with M&T Resources.
 
If you meet requirement 4, the type of visa you have will depend on whether M&T Resources will be able to assist you. The most common types of visa are:
 
Working Holiday Visa
This visa must be used within 12 months of being granted, is available to those aged between 18-30, and permits a maximum of 6 months’ employment with any single employer. Permanent employment may not be obtained. As M&T Resources contract lengths are typically longer than 6 months we are not able to assist Working Holiday Visa holders.

General Skilled Migrant Visa
This visa is granted to those under 45 who hold qualifications in certain areas. Holders of this visa may also be eligible for Australian citizenship. M&T Resources is able to assist eligible visa holders with both contract and permanent positions.

Employer Sponsored Visa
This visa is provided when the company employing you sponsors you. M&T Resources may be able to assist those eligible for this visa with permanent employment, if the hiring company is willing to provide sponsorship.

Spousal Visa
This visa is for partners (married or de facto) of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens. M&T Resources is able to assist eligible visa holders with both contract and permanent positions.
 
Please note that all visa holders must also have valid passports.
