OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY M&T Resources is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment to its contractors, and to ensuring that all contractors are safe from injury and risks to their health while at work.
 
M&T Resources has business practices that comply with all applicable legislative requirements and WorkCover guidelines, and encourages regular and open discussion on safety and all related topics. All contractors are required to share this commitment and its associated responsibilities.
 
EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITIES
So far as is practicable, M&T Resources undertakes to:

• monitor the health of its contractors and keep records in so far as it relates to the contractor’s workplace health and safety
• arrange safe methods for using and storing machinery, equipment and materials
• provide adequate facilities
• provide all contractors with information, training and supervision to enable them to work safely and free from health risks
• monitor the conditions of all host sites, and make sure that these sites are safe and free from risks to the health of contractors
• not expect any contractor to do anything that he/she deems to be unsafe

 
CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Whilst engaged as an M&T Resources contractor, the contractor undertakes to:

• adopt safe work practices, and not undertake any activities or behaviour which may endanger the health or safety of either themselves or their colleagues
• ensure awareness of the fire, emergency evacuation and first aid procedures in the host sites where they are working
• participate in an approved Return to Work plan should they become injured
• immediately report any potentially unsafe working conditions, incidents, or injuries to their M&T Resources Account Manager
