Marie Barry

Marie is a Senior Account Manager in M&T Resources’ Melbourne team, specialising in the Telecommunications sector.

Born in New York, Marie moved to Ireland at six years of age and was raised in Dublin. She has also lived in London and New York before making the move to Melbourne in 2003, where she built a life and career she is proud of.

While living in London, Marie visited a recruitment agency looking for work. They offered her a role within the agency, where she started as a receptionist before moving into a temporary consultant position. That step introduced her to recruitment and set the path for more than 20 years in IT recruitment across both contract and permanent roles.

Today, Marie works across the full spectrum of IT recruitment, partnering with clients on end-to-end hiring across infrastructure, software development, data, cloud, cybersecurity and digital transformation. She brings broad market knowledge and a strong understanding of varied technical environments.

Marie was drawn to M&T Resources because of its long-standing reputation in the market and the Account Management opportunity on offer. In her work, she is driven by trust, integrity, accountability and doing the right thing, even when it is not the easiest option.

Outside of work, Marie is highly sociable and loves trivia, concerts and lively conversation. She plays trivia every Sunday at her local pub in Richmond, with bonus points if her team gets the win.
