Hourly rate: $46p.h.+super
Location: Western suburbs of Melbourne

About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Information Management Officer to join their team. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, efficient, and customer-focused records, information, and archival management services.
You will play a key part in supporting staff, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and promoting a digital-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage appraisal, classification, registration, and distribution of physical and digital mail in the EDRMS.
  • Scan and quality-check records, applying correct metadata.
  • Distribute internal mail and prepare outbound correspondence.
  • Undertake appraisal and sentencing of records in line with PROV Retention and Disposal Authorities.
  • Maintain operational statistics and support process improvements.
  • Assist staff with information management queries and ensure compliance with Council policies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Post-secondary qualifications or relevant experience in records/information management.
  • Knowledge and experience using an EDRMS and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Understanding of local government structures, records management principles, and the Public Records Act 1973.
  • Current valid Victorian driver’s licence.
