About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Security Solution Architect to join their Technology team.
In this role, you will enable secure digital experiences for customers, colleagues, and partners by embedding security into every stage of solution design and delivery.
You will provide thought leadership, guide secure architecture decisions, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations such as APRA CPS 234.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Provide security leadership across technology strategy, operating models, and business plans.
- Identify and resolve gaps in Application and Technology Portfolio Models (APM/TPM).
- Conduct security assessments, risk reviews, and penetration testing validations.
- Produce security architecture deliverables within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Advise stakeholders on security impacts of key architecture decisions.
- Champion a strong security culture and ensure a safe, compliant workplace.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on solution architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust principles and enterprise security frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with security controls across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Expertise in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to design and recommend security controls aligned with best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Prior experience in the Insurance industry will be an advantage
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical field.
- Industry certifications highly regarded: AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Associate, CISSP, SABSA, CISA.
