About the role :

The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving organisation’s technology infrastructure, including on-premises systems, cloud platforms, and network services across the organisation.

The role ensures the secure, stable and efficient operation of infrastructure that underpins organisation’s service delivery. The role provides advanced technical support, contributes to the design and delivery of technology projects, and maintains system performance through proactive monitoring and lifecycle
management.

What you need to succeed:

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, with equivalent relevant experience, or lesser formal qualification with substantial relevant experience.

• Administration and support of enterprise IT infrastructure, including Microsoft-based environments
• Supporting cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure within a structured IT service delivery framework
• Device management and deployment tools (e.g. Microsoft Intune) to support enterprise environment
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent is desirable
• ITIL Foundation certification or working knowledge of ITIL processes is desirable
• Experience working in Local Government or a comparable regulated public sector environment is desirable.
