The Client
Are you an experienced PMO professional ready to take the lead on managing a complex IT projects portfolio?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading resources organisation where your expertise in project prioritisation, planning, and portfolio analysis will directly impact strategic IT delivery and operational excellence.
The Role
As a PMO Portfolio Analyst, you will assist the Head of department in developing, maintaining, and executing the IT projects portfolio. This includes portfolio planning, monitoring portfolio performance, managing resource demand and capacity, and conducting project health checks. You will also collaborate closely with the IT Leadership Team to prioritise projects aligned to strategic goals and business value.
Skills and experience
In this role, you will do the following:
- Assist with portfolio planning, monitoring performance, resource demand and capacity management and project health checks
- Develop and maintain IT projects plan
- Assist the leadership team to prioritise projects
- Analyse resource demand, recommend allocation strategies, and ensure efficient use of resources
- Track and report on project portfolio performance, status, and risk
- Identify opportunities to improve portfolio management processes and tools
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
You will bring the following:
- Substantial experience in a PMO environment
- Project estimation, scheduling, resource demand and capacity management skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (PMI, PRINCE2 etc.)
- Proven ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
