An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Systems Engineer-Grid Control Specialist to join a dynamic team delivering critical technology solutions in a complex operational environment. This role offers the chance to work on significant IT systems integration projects and support industry-leading platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Linux/UNIX environments, preferably Red Hat Linux.
  • Configure and maintain systems associated with GE ADMS.
  • Engage in large-scale IT systems integration, covering:
    • Interfacing technologies
    • Communication protocols
    • Systems networking
    • Virtualisation technologies
    • Scripting languages
    • Authentication and authorisation mechanisms
  • Contribute to environment security architecture in complex, business-critical systems.
  • Communicate effectively across technical and business teams, translating technical concepts into business-focused language.

About You Essential:

  • Significant experience in Linux/UNIX systems administration (preferably Red Hat).
  • Proven background in supporting or configuring systems within the GE ADMS ecosystem.
  • Strong experience in large IT systems integration projects.
  • Solid understanding of security architecture in complex environments.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical information for business audiences.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of electrical power systems and control systems.
  • Significant knowledge in the design, development, or administration of large, multi-schema Oracle RDBMS environments with complex data models.
