George Pocock

George is an Account Director in M&T Resources’ Perth team, specialising in technology recruitment across Western Australia’s mining, resources, education and local government sectors. His core focus is Project Services, including Business Analysts, Project and Program Managers, Change Managers, Training specialists and Communications professionals.

Given the broad nature of project environments, George has worked across a wide range of roles and brings a practical understanding of how to move quickly without losing sight of quality. He is particularly strong at speed to market, taking the time to understand a client’s needs early then identifying suitable profiles with focus and precision.

George grew up in England before moving to Banff, Canada in 2013, where he lived for five years. It was there he met an Australian woman who would later become his wife, bringing him to Perth in 2018.

Like many in the industry, George fell into recruitment after university. What has kept him in the profession is the depth of the relationships he has built over time.

George was drawn to M&T Resources by its culture, which he says sounded great from the outside and has lived up to that reputation since joining.

Outside of work, George spends as much time as possible with his wife, daughter and two Frenchies. You might also find him in the gym, in the garden, indoor climbing, catching up with friends or searching Perth for the best coffee spot.
