About the role
Our client is looking for an Enterprise Architect (Data Safety) to define and deliver the enterprise-level data architecture strategy, ensuring robust data safety and governance. This role centers on strengthening data controls and implementing Zero Trust principles across the organization’s data landscape. This role will work closely with the Program Manager and other Enterprise Architects and collaborate with cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the end‑to‑end data architecture blueprint aligned with the enterprise strategy, ensuring scalability and standardization.
  • Define and enforce data classification, lineage, cataloging, and governance standards that ensure data is governed and protected across its entire lifecycle.
  • Design and implement Zero Trust data controls including identity verification, least-privilege access, data encryption (at rest/in transit), segmentation, and continuous monitoring.
  • Establish and maintain data-based access controls, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and audit mechanisms that enforce compliance and detect anomalies.
  • Collaborate with solution, security, infrastructure, and cloud architects to integrate Zero Trust models into broader systems architecture and workflows.
  • Produce and maintain architecture documentation and standards.
  • Monitor data controls effectiveness; refine architecture in response to evolving threats, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise data architecture or data governance with experience implementing data security, controls, or Zero Trust frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in Zero Trust methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (NIST SP 800‑207, DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture, CIS benchmarks).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, or data governance qualifications are strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate with both technical teams (security, architecture, engineering) and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in personal or commercial insurance and financial services industry is desirable.
