We are seeking a highly skilled Technical/Solution Architect to lead the development and governance of enterprise-wide architecture across the technology domain. This role covers both Software and Infrastructure services, supporting strategic transformation initiatives in a large-scale enterprise.
  
Contract Duration: 6 Months + Potential Extensions
Location: Brisbane (Hybrid)
  
Position Purpose
As the Technical Architect, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the current, future, and transition states of the enterprise architecture, providing a clear direction for project-based solution architectures. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams and key stakeholders to ensure all solutions align with enterprise-wide goals and architectural best practices.
  
Key Experience & Skills

• 8+ years as a Technical/Infrastructure/Solution Architect
• Backup and networking
• Data centre escalations and consolidations
• Cost reduction initiatives within data centres
• Building roadmaps and strategies for cost-effective solutions
• Transitions of on-prem or data centre footprints to cloud (Azure or AWS)
• Conducting detailed analysis as part of roadmaps and assessments (e.g., reviewing hardware/software and making recommendations)
• Expert in architectural methods, tools, and frameworks
• Proven track record developing and implementing technical architecture, with a strong understanding of cyber security considerations
• Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and business acumen
• Experience delivering data centre roadmaps and guiding technology decisions
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, and executive communication skills

• Broad technology expertise including:

• VMware, compute, storage (SAN), backup & archiving
• Cisco networking (preferred)
• Azure Cloud (virtual networking, compute, storage)
• Docker, Kubernetes (desirable)
• Infrastructure-as-Code (desirable)
• Looking for someone who has been involved in cloud transitions, cost reduction programs, and data centre migrations
• Communication skills are important and need to be a good culture fit to work in a highly collaborative environment

  
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in IT or related discipline
• Certifications in Azure, Microsoft, or Citrix (desirable)
• TOGAF or equivalent EA framework (desirable)
