Project Manager – Application and Integration GIS
$800/Day including super | 12-Month Contract | Perth-based
About the Program:
This is a large-scale, whole-of-government initiative aimed at improving planning and collaboration across government agencies. The program will deliver a digital twin and a next-generation spatial cadastre, impacting agencies for the next 15 years. The scope includes significant internal changes to ensure readiness for the new services.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the design, delivery, commissioning, and handover of new applications and integrations, as well as managing further application and integration changes within the Registration Services business unit. This project will run until October 2027 and will involve complex systems migrations, change management and integration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project from inception through discovery, execution, testing, and handover to Business As Usual (BAU).
- Manage the project within agreed time, budget, scope, and quality constraints.
- Track, measure, and report on project status, ensuring all objectives are met.
- Oversee internal and external resources assigned to project outcomes.
- Lead Change Management efforts, including impact analysis and the execution of change plans.
- Coordinate procurement and service provider deliverables, ensuring milestones are met.
- Provide governance and assurance to the project, escalating issues as needed.
- Deliver training and support to project team members on project management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and policies, including risk management and investment assurance.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong ICT background and track record of managing large, complex projects.
- Previous experience working on spatial projects or with geospatial technologies, such as digital twins, spatial cadastres, or GIS systems.
- Strong understanding of project management frameworks, governance, and methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, PRINCE2, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects involving integration of new applications and systems.
- Experience with the delivery of change management processes, including change impact analysis and transition to new systems.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and manage internal and external resources effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to report to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and managing project deliverables on time and within scope.
- Ability to work on-site at the head office in Midland, WA.
- Highly organised with attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
