Are you an experienced Infrastructure Solution Architect looking to play a key role in a mission-critical transformation? We’re seeking a talented professional to lead the architecture and migration of NSW Police Force’s enterprise infrastructure to a modern, secure, and scalable environment.
This is a high-impact, multi-year program focused on enhancing the resilience, performance, and operational readiness of NSWPF’s data center ecosystem. You will be pivotal in shaping the strategy, design, and execution of this major data centre migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead infrastructure architecture solutions for a large-scale data centre migration program.
- Develop and deliver technical designs aligned with NSWPF’s technology strategy and enterprise architecture framework.
- Work closely with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end solution delivery.
- Provide technical leadership on networking, cloud, and infrastructure integration across on-premises and hybrid environments.
- Create comprehensive documentation including infrastructure roadmaps, design artefacts, and implementation plans.
- Present solutions to design authorities and facilitate technical decision-making across internal and external teams.
- Lead configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting activities where required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as a Solution Architect on data centre and infrastructure migration projects.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience with SDWAN, SASE, and cloud network architecture (Azure and/or AWS).
- Solid understanding of network security, architecture best practices, and hybrid infrastructure models.
- Proven track record of engaging business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Experience working within formal enterprise architecture frameworks and governance structures.
- Ability to lead technical workshops and influence senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry certifications).
- Infrastructure and cloud certifications highly regarded (e.g. Cisco, AWS, Azure, TOGAF).

Eligibility
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen (with valid passport).
- Must be able to obtain or hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
- Must be able to pass a National Police Check.
