In Feb 2014, the National Heavy Vehicles Regulator (NHVR) rolled out its “One Regulator, One Rule Book” project, in the bid to:

• Minimise compliance burden on the heavy vehicle transport industry.
• Reduce duplication and inconsistencies across states / territory borders.
• Provide a one stop shop for heavy vehicle businesses to interact with the government.
